If you're still tanning, OMG WHY AND PLEASE STOP AND USE THIS INSTEAD.

Let me preface my "Pick of the Week" with this: I get it. I used to tan because of the keratosis pilaris on my upper arms; it's something I've had since I was a kid and, since we've had a SERIOUS lack of sunshine for the past few months, going tanning every few weeks for eight minutes seemed harmless enough.

But, if you're like me and you're a pale Irish (or any ethnicity) girl...

...there are healthier ways to get some color on your skin this time of the year. Because yes, I too am terrified of putting on shorts for the first time this year.

This stuff is MY FAVORITE SELF TANNER EVER. I've tried everything under the sun (pun intended) and I've never come across a better product. This is the most subtle, natural, gradual self-tanner you'll find on the market.

During the winter, I use it once a week. This time of the year, I use it a few times during the week. It's just subtle enough to give you a healthy, tan hue without turning you orange or too-dark-for-the-season.

As with any self tanner, YES YOU NEED TO WASH YOUR HANDS WHEN YOU'RE DONE APPLYING. As subtle as it is, it's STILL a TANNING LOTION. Wash your palms and in between your fingers so you don't get any weird spots of color.

It's not cheap, but it lasts. I've had this bottle since December and I've got PLENTY left.
