AJ’s 31 Days of Horror Movies: ‘The Ghost and Mr. Chicken’

It's a classic that you can watch with your kids and it has Don Knotts. Need I say more?

I grew up on Don Knotts films and yes, I was a fan of scary movies even as a kid, so this one was always one of my favorites.

Luther Heggs, played by Knotts, is an aspiring journalist in the small fictional town of Rachel, Kansas in this 1966 film. He writes a sensational story about a murder-suicide at the Simmons mansion, a local home that has a creepy reputation.

He ends up spending the night at the mansion...and that's where I'll leave you. It's got a Scooby Doo-esque ending...or does it?
