A ‘Must-Win’ For Red Wings Tonight To Avoid Elimination

It has come down to this: win or stay home. The Detroit Red Wings must defeat their first-round playoff opponent, the Nashville Predators, tonight to remain alive in the NHL playoffs. To make it even tougher, in order to advance to Round #2, they must now win three straight from Nashville.

That could be a very tough challenge with two of those games being played on the road. It doesn't seem that home-ice helped the Wings in this series, losing both games at Joe Louis Arena. If they hope to hoist the Stanley Cup in 2012, the time to win is NOW!
