You may know him from his over 200 appearances on both the small and big screens. From the 1950s through the 1970s, he was well known in Hollywood as an actor who nailed no-nonsense and/or crooked roles, to those with a heart of gold. George Kennedy passed away over the weekend from a combination of some minor health problems and old age.

I'll never forget the first time I saw George Kennedy. Much like everyone was shocked at how funny dramatic actor Leslie Nielsen was in 'Airplane!', the world was delighted with Kennedy's wonderfully charming and hilarious performance as Captain Ed Hocken from 'The Naked Gun' movie franchise.

Rest in peace, George. Thanks for making us laugh!
