13 Famous and Notable People From Saginaw, Michigan
We are back at it with another list of famous and/or notable people from Michigan.
On our journey around the great state of Michigan, this week we land in Saginaw. Check out the list below of 13 famous and/or notable people from the Sag-nasty. As always I have to preface this with, yes, I know there are more than what's included below, but I just grabbed a handful of people that stuck out to me. Feel free to leave someone that is not on the list in the comments section.
Mid-Michigan has unleashed some great people in the world. From one of the greatest musicians ever to actors, engineers, and athletes. This list, while short, is pretty damn impressive. I had no idea that the designer of the current American flag was from Saginaw. That is a pretty cool nugget of info.
Saginaw is also responsible for an aircraft designer that had a hand in making the A-4 Skyhawk light bomber and others. Another notable person on the list below played a big role in 1933's King Kong.

Back in the 19th century, Saginaw was a thriving lumber town and an industrial city and manufacturing center for a lot of the 20th century. As of the 2020 census, Saginaw had a population of 44,202 people. The city has also been featured in songs from the likes of Brian D'Arcy and Simon and Garfunkel, as well as TV shows like Home Improvement, Seinfeld, and much more.
