You would grab your cell phone and start recording it right? That's what Tammy Snell's neighbor did when she saw two bears on Snell's front lawn. Snell said the bears are just part of the scenery in her Longwood, Florida neighborhood and she and the other residents have no intention of trying to get rid of them. The action was caught on video.

A Florida lawmaker has introduced a bill that would soon prohibit residents in her state from buying junk food like chips, pop, and cookies with food stamps, according to the Los Angeles Times. Following the chaos on board our cruise ship, nothing like the horrible situation in Italy, we spent the last few days of our family vacation on Sanibel Island visiting my Uncle Joe. He has a beautiful home with a lake in his backyard that is home to the amazing Florida wildlife, including alligators.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  That was truly the case during my family's recent vacation. It started on Friday, December 30th as we loaded up the car and started to make our way south.  The next ten days provided experiences and memories we will not soon forget.

A federal judge has temporarily blocked a law which requires the state's welfare recipients to take a drug test in order to receive benefits. In June, Florida Governor Rick Scott said the law requires residents be accountable, and noted that it isn't right for taxpayers to subsidize drug users' habits.

This is not something from a bad science fiction movie. In Leesburg, Florida, a sinkhole 60 feet wide and 20 feet deep opened up and swallowed a building. This isn't the first time this has happened in Leesburg. Read more after the jump.

A new law in Florida, which goes into effect on July 1st, will require adults who apply for help from the Department of Children and Family Services to submit to drug testing.  In essence, the law says that assistance recipients have to be clean in order to begin or continue receiving benefits.

SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say a Tampa Bay area man kept his wife's body in a freezer for a decade so he could continue to collect her benefits. Officials say Allan Dunn committed suicide last August at age 86. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports that a woman who was helping prepare his estate went to the Sun City Center condo Tuesday to clean.

Just when you thought you have seen everything, how about a cat playing with a dolphin? It all took place at Theater of the Sea, A marine animal park in Islamorada, Florida, back in 1997. The dolphins are Shiloh and Thunder and the cat is Arthur. Check out this very cute video after the jump.
