I grew up in Davison and started my radio career at WDHS at Davison High School.  I've been in broadcasting for about 30 years, and at Cars 108 since 1999.  Flint has gone through a lot of changes over the years and has endured some tough times, but the people here are pretty special and always seem to help each other through the rough patches.  That's why I choose to stay here. In my spare time I like to run.  After running the Crim 5k in 1997, I was hooked!  I have run the Crim 10 miler every year since 1998, and am also running marathons and ultramarathons.  In June of 2010 I finished the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains.  It was quite an adventure for my wife Shelia and me, as she ran the last 38 miles of the trail as my pacer, making sure that I finished!  It took 29 hours and 37 minutes, but we both survived.

Yankee Candle Introduces ‘Man Candles’

As a man, I am slightly confused. Perhaps even befuddled. Isn't the purpose of scented candles to cover up undesirable odors, usually created by, um, men?

The US Army is considering giving women more opportunities in the military. Opportunities that add risk and danger, but also a chance to advance through the ranks. Right now, women are not allowed in the Infantry, which is usually on the front lines in war.

Today is National ‘Eat What You Want’ Day. What’ll You Have?

Too bad I didn't know about this until the day was almost over. Today is National Eat What You Want Day. I eat healthy foods most of the time, but every now and again I like to splurge. The photos probably tipped you off as to what one of my guilty pleasures is.
