Wisconsin Teen with Down Syndrome Has Her Own Dog Treat Business – The Good News [VIDEO]
AND SHE HAS MINI-SCHNAUZERS!!! So, maybe we're a little biased.
19-year-old Gracie Jagler from Watertown, Wisconsin, started her own business last year called Gracie's Doggie Delights.
Her love of animals (and her three rescued mini-schnauzers) inspired her to start the business. Her treats are sold in retail stores and online across the country, and now, she's been awarded with the Blake Pyron Entrepreneurship Scholarship. The scholarship is designed to help people with Down Syndrome to start their own business. Blake Pyron actually operates his own snow cone food truck in Texas.
She'll be awarded on April 4 in Washington D.C., in conjunction with the National Down Syndrome Society's Employment Conference and Buddy Walk.
I'll be in Wisconsin this weekend, I might pick some of these treats up for OUR mini-schnauzer. Because they're really the best dogs ever. ;) Congrats, Gracie!
