In-N-Out Burger Continues Expansion, Is Michigan on the List?
It looks like West Coast favorite In-N-Out Burger is expanding beyond its California roots. That means Michigan fans are once again wondering if the iconic chain will ever make it to the Mitten State.
According to USA Today and the Detroit Free Press, In-N-Out Burger is preparing to open five new locations. But here’s the catch: while the chain is moving east, Michiganers will still have to wait.
Tennessee will be getting its first three In-N-Out locations, with additional outlets opening in Colorado and California. Here are the addresses for In-N-Out’s five new locations:
New In-N-Out Locations in 2025
- 🍔 Sylmar, California: 13864 Foothill Blvd.
- 🍔 Longmont, Colorado: 255 Ken Pratt Blvd.
- 🍔 Antioch, Tennessee: 4130 William Turner Pkwy.
- 🍔 Lebanon, Tennessee: 915 S. Hartmann Drive
- 🍔 Murfreesboro, Tennessee: 2508 Medical Center Pkwy.
Michigan Fans Still Waiting
So it looks like the cult-favorite burger joint will still be states away, with Tennessee being the closest. The Free Press also cited a 2024 post on an In-N-Out Burger enthusiast’s Facebook page. There’s clearly a lot of chatter and interest from folks in Michigan, but as much as we wish otherwise, it just isn’t happening… yet.
Have you experienced In-N-Out Burger for yourself? We visited my son in Las Vegas a few years ago, and I considered it a must-try—I’m always on the lookout for regional favorites when I travel.
I’d give it a B+. In the meantime, Michigan burger enthusiasts still have plenty of great options closer to home.
