White House Petition Calls For New National Anthem [Video]

"Oh say can you see, by the dawn's early light." Those immortal words begin a song that has been our national anthem since 1814. Is it time for a new national anthem? Some American citizens say yes, and you really won't believe their song of choice!

The new proposed anthem is a party remix by R. Kelly. Yes, he is the guy that sang "I Believe I Can Fly." The petition, which has 4,500 signatures, asks our President to "recognize the need for a new national anthem, one that even after a decade after its' creation, is still hot and fresh out of the kitchen." The petition requires 95,000 more signatures before the White House and President Obama will consider the request.
