Welp, there's something you don't see every day.

A small plane had to make an emergency landing on a Southern California highway last Friday morning. Yes, you read that right.

The plane was having engine trouble and was forced to land in the westbound lanes of Interstate 8 in El Cajon, California last week. On board were a 25-year-old student pilot and a 36-year-old instructor.

Originally, it was thought that the student landed the plane, but it was later revealed that the instructor took over the landing when they realized that they were in trouble.

Pretty incredible, and big kudos to the motorists for not freaking out and making the situation worse!
