Washington Boy Saves a Thousand Dogs from High-Kill Shelters – The Good News
And he's only 6-years-old! #goals
Roman McConn was only four years old when he was at a pet adoption event in Texas, where he and his family were living at the time. His mom told them that they were trying to get the dogs into new homes.
So, Roman and his mom started Project Freedom Ride, where they transport dogs from high-kill shelters to humane societies in the Pacific Northwest.
Dogs that have not yet been adopted are placed in foster homes until they can find a suitable family. Pretty amazing for a little boy to be so aware of what's going on around him and wanting to make a difference!
