About 2.5 billion robocalls are made each month -- that's 7.5 calls per month, per person, according to NBC.

So how do you stop (or at least cut down on) the robocalls?

First, make sure your phone number is on the national do not call registry.

If you have a smartphone, you can add junk numbers that have already called to your phone's auto-reject list.

For spam text messages, copy and paste the text, and send it to 7726. (spam)
