Walmart is under fire for terminating an employee with Down Syndrome at one of its Wisconsin stores.

The Equal Employment Opportunities Commission says the retailer fired Marlo Spaeth, who had been with the store for 15 years. Walmart implemented a new schedule and scheduling system. USA Today reports Spaeth's disability made it difficult for her to adapt to her new hours.

She was disciplined and terminated for absenteeism. After the suit was filed on her behalf, Walmart said it is willing to look into the matter.
