Upper Peninsula Ranked Best Destination For Fall Colors

If you have never been to the UP in the fall, you are missing out. If you are lucky enough to time the trip right, the scenery is breathtaking. It is about time the rest of the US acknowledges us for the beauty of our great state.

USA Today released their 10Best Readers Choice Best Destination for Fall Foilage, and we are number one! There is no specific town that is ranked number one, just the entire Upper Peninsula. I have to agree that pretty much the entire Upper Peninsula is a fall wonderland this time of year. From the end of September through mid-October it is beautifully colorful.

I have always heard that Maine is a beautiful place to go to see the fall colors, but they didn't make the top 10 list. You can check out the list here, but Michigan is the only one on the list that isn't a specific city.
