U of M-Flint Receives Grant To Protect Students from Sexual Assault [VIDEO]
All three of the University of Michigan's campuses will be receiving grants, as part of the program put in place by First Lady Susan Snyder.
U of M-Flint will be receiving a little over $34,000 to help end sexual assault on campus - one in five women and one in 16 men are victims on college grounds.
The money will go towards a peer education program that will teach people what to do if they see an assault in progress, and a leadership program that will hold dialogues around campus. They're also hiring a social media strategist to help get the word out on online platforms.
Ann Arbor and Dearborn are also receiving grant money. Hopefully this does what it's intended to.
