Trebek’s Last Shows, Loss of a Bond Girl, & Hilaria Baldwin Heritage: The Dish
Here's the "Dish" on what's happening in celebrity news today.
The final five episodes of "Jeopardy" filmed by the late Alex Trebek will start airing this week. The beloved host lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in November. The episodes were slated to air during the week of Christmas, but were pushed back by producers due to the holidays. "Jeopardy" will start with new episodes again on January 11 with guest host and former champion Ken Jennings.
Former Bond girl and actress Tanya Roberts has passed away at the age of 65. Best know for her role in the 1985 Bond film "A View to a Kill", Roberts collapsed while walking her dogs on Christmas Eve and passed away on January 3 for undisclosed causes. The actress is most recently knows for her role as Midge Pinciotti, Donna's mother, on "That '70's Show".
Hilaria Baldwin is having some major identity issues. The 36 year old mother of five, and wife of actor Alec Baldwin, is being called out for portraying herself for years as someone she really isn't. Seems Baldwin is not a Spaniard, but is actually an American born and raised in Boston. She was known until 2009 by friends and family as Hillary, but suddenly she changed her whole background including adding a Spanish accent now and then. The unraveling began on December 21 when a woman called her out on Twitter and it's been downhill ever since. Baldwin has somewhat come clean admitting she was in fact born in Boston, but spent some time in Spain. No word on the accent issue. Stay tuned.
