Therapy Pig. At a Nursing Home. That’s It. That’s The Good News Today [VIDEO]
Because what more do you need? It's Monday. I don't need much to make me happy normally, and today, this pig did the trick. Her name is Blue. She's a therapy pig in South Florida that cheers up seniors at an assisted living facility.
Her owner says that she started to notice that Blue was very receptive to peoples' emotions when she turned one, so she started the process of getting her certified as a therapy pig, which isn't exactly easy - most places only certify dogs.
Her owner also says that pigs are NOT a good pet for everybody - they're highly intelligent, so if you don't take time with them, they can be destructive and aggressive. That's why there's so many pigs at animal sanctuaries.
Obviously, she took the time with Blue. And it shows.
