Today's theme on the Cars' Classic Lunch is "Day". This gives you the opportunity to pick your favorite "Day" song, and hear it played back at lunch..Any song with "Day" in the tile will work, including days of the week. Here are a few of my favorites. Call your pick in at 810-239-1079, or #108 on your Verizon phone.

    The Old Days

This classic hit from 1975 is one of three "Day" songs that Chicago had chart success with. The other two were "Saturday in the Park" and "Feelin' Stronger Everyday". Old Days would be my favorite. What's yours?

    A Day In The Life

This is a rather fascinating addition to Theme Thursday because it's a song that wasn't released as a single, never climbed Billboard's charts, and yet was named the 28th Greatest Song of all-time by Rolling Stone Magazine. It was the final song on the B-Side of the Beatles', Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album.

    Come Monday

    Jimmy Buffett

This song marked the first appearance of Jimmy Buffett on Billboard's charts in May of 1974. It peaked at #30 and was followed three years later with Buffett's biggest hit Margaritaville. It's one of my favorite "Day" songs today on Theme Thursday!
