The Lapeer Summer Concert Series Will Go On – Rain Or Shine
Thanks to one local business owner, the Lapeer Summer Concert Series will go on rain or shine.
Ginni Bruman (also known as Chef G), has graciously offered the use of her restaurant, Chef G's. If any of the upcoming shows are unfortunately rained out, musicians and artists will be performing in her restaurant event room. How awesome is that?
I think we can agree - this is a great back up plan considering the weather we have experienced as of late. If you have yet to check out the Lapeer Summer Concert, there are still plenty of shows to check out, including this Thursday, July, 1st with Frame 42.
Weather permitting, Frame 42 will be playing at Ed LaClair Lapeer Rotary Pocket Park. If not, you know where to go - Chef G's downtown Lapeer on West Neppesing Street. Shows run from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
If you are not familiar with Lapeer's own Frame 42 - get familiar. This group may be young, but they are indeed old souls. Wait until you hear the band cover Heart or Janis Joplin - not to mention their original tunes.
As a matter of fact, Frame 42 recently released an EP called 'Undercroft'. The EP was produced by Grammy Award winning Producer Toby Wright, and features seven original songs written by the band.
Shout out again to Chef G for making sure the show(s) do indeed go on. You rock!
