The Good News: Cincinnati Zoo Names Baby Penguin ‘Bowie’ [VIDEO]

The penguin was born on David Bowie's last birthday, January 8th.

What's more, is that they decided to name the baby penguin after David Bowie just three days before his death.

"Before anything happened, [zookeepers] were playing David Bowie music -- they're huge fans -- in the nursery where the penguin was set up," says the zoo's communications director Angela Hatke to CBS News.

At the suggestion of fans, the penguin (weighing in at 46 grams) was named "Bowie." Now, after yesterday's news of his untimely passing, Hatke says, "There's a cute little penguin that has his namesake, bringing some good news to it."

As a fellow David Bowie fan, I approve.
