The FIM Presents ‘Nutcracker’ At The Whiting

The Flint Institute of Music presents "Nutcracker", the magical holiday ballet, with three performances. 2 pm and 7 pm, Saturday, December 3rd, and at 3 pm on Sunday, December 4th at The Whiting, 1241 E. Kearsley St. in Flint. This is the 36th year that the FIM has presented this historical ballet to the greater Flint community. The Nutcracker performaces are under the artistic direction of Karen Mills Jennings, and the Flint Symphony Orchestra will be led by guest conductor David Mairs.
The Nutcracker features world-class professional dancers from the Collage Dance Collective of Memphis, plus more than 80 local dancers from the Flint School of Performing Arts. The timeless Tchaikovsky score performed by the Flint Symphony Orchestra. A fantasyland setting with colorful costumes. All these things bring the Nutcracker to life.
