Teacher Has Students Write Cards To Inmates

How would you feel if you found out your child wrote a Christmas card to an inmate? One teacher in New York is on leave right now, after the school found out she had her students make Christmas cards for lonely inmates. Some of the cards even had students' names and addresses on them.

The teacher has a friend in a correctional facility who is in there on weapons charges and violating an order of protection. The package was intercepted by guards who then contacted the school. The teacher has been removed and officials want to fire her.

Do you think the teacher should be fired? Did she cross the line? If I was a parent, I would be completely appalled by this because what if the inmate was a pedophile? You don't know what they'll do, especially if there were names and addresses on some of the cards.
