Take On a 600-Foot Snow Tubing Hill at Hawk Island Park
Michigan is full of things to do in the great outdoors all year long. Right now, with some "extra" time on our hands and limited places to go, it's the perfect time to discover some cool winter activities in the mitten state.
Some awesome wintertime outdoor adventure awaits at Hawk Island Park. Located in south Lansing, and part of the Ingham County Parks system, Hawk Island is a great place to visit all year long, but winter offer some major fun. Previously the site of a gravel pit, Hawk Island has been completely transformed into an amazing family park.
Hawk Island Park offers a 600-foot tubing hill ready for some family fun. The hill consists of multiple lanes and even has a uphill lift to bring tubers back to the hilltop following their run. The park provides rental tubes, so you won't have to worry about lugging your own equipment. Just bundle up and head for the hill!
Due to limited capacity, all visitors must purchase a timed-entry ticket online before arriving at the park, and reservation is made at least 7 days in advance. This assures that capacity is controlled
The hill is open to enjoy Friday, Saturday, and Sunday along with some holidays. You can call (517)-676-2233 to make your reservation Monday-Thursday 10am-8pm, Friday 10am-3pm or 8pm-10pm and Saturday 8pm-10pm. Tickets may also be purchased online.
