FEMA has said no to Genesee County's request for federal disaster relief money after flooding in May.
Here's an excerpt from the letter to Governor Rick Snyder:
Last night's severe thunderstorms that swept through Genesee and Lapeer counties left a wake of damage. 10,000 customers are with out power and some have even been affected by flood damage. Here are a few photos from around Genesee County. Submit your photos to show the damage around your area.
After getting slammed with more than six inches of rain overnight, Genesee County is now trying to dry out even with more rain in the forecast. As of 11am, I-75 is still closed near the I-69 interchange, and I-69 is closed in the Swartz Creek area.
I went out on the roads to see the flooding first hand, and Cars 108's Ryan Reynolds sent some pictures that I will share with you as well. Knollwood
