Last month Rod and I attended the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer kick-off breakfast to get ready for the walk next month. It's such an important organization and we're looking for people to join our team so of course we need your help.

Last week we started getting you ready for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer kick-off which took place this morning. Rod and I had the pleasure of attending the event and we're looking to get a team together but we need your help to make it happen on October 15.

Are you ready to make strides to end breast cancer? Every step you take and every dollar you raise helps the American Cancer Society create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays. The "kickoff Breakfast" is scheduled for next Tuesday, August 16th at the Genesys Conference & Banquet Center. Rod & Erin will be on hand and we hope you can help!

Relay For Life is happening at Cardinal Stadium in Davison until 10 tomorrow (Sunday) morning.  Dozens of teams are taking part in raising money in the fight against Cancer.  Special ceremonies will begin near dusk tonight when luminaria will be lit to honor those who are fighting and surviving cancer and to remember those who have lost the battle.

It might seem early to start thinking pink again, but planning is already underway for this year's "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walks in the Flint area. Cars 108 has been a proud sponsor of this event and will be again this year. To get ready for Memorial Day, The American Cancer Society has determined Friday, May 27 as 'Don't Fry Day.' They're teaming up with the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention to remind you to make sure you're wearing sunscreen when you're outside.
