Lately across the country school districts have looked for new and fun ways to welcome students back to another school year. From decorations to themed rooms, teachers and administrators have stepped up their game, but this year Swartz Creek may have really made their name with a parody of one the hottest songs of the year.

Dragon country is ready to "ride" thanks to the viral welcome back video that's now  spreading across the internet. Superintendent Ben Mainka and Swartz Creek High School Principal Jim Kitchen channeled their inner cowboy with a parody of the Lil Nas X “Old Town Road" remix featuring Billy Ray Cyrus entitled “Hometown Road".

The duo are joined by staff members and students in their latest parody. They are becoming old pros at being YouTube sensations having made a name for themselves  before with their "Frozen" rendition of Idina Menzel’s “Let It Go” during the 2018-2019 school year snow days.

School begins for the district begins Tuesday, August 27th. Yeeee Hawwww
