Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty!
Swartz Creek Firefighters responded to a house fire last Thursday in Gaines Township and found there to be 17 cats inside.
Two of the firefighters, Sedrick Fornari and Sawyer Tabit, were able to rescue two of the cats by performing CPR on them.
This kind of stuff always makes me tear up. I can't imagine what it would be like to have a fire in my house and not be able to get my pets out. Not everybody looks at animals as family members, but most of us who own them DO. Hats off to these two men for using lifesaving techniques on these kitty cats.
