Sports Betting Goes Live at Michigan Casinos This Week [VIDEO]
Legalized sports betting is about to become a reality in Michigan. Beginning Wednesday, patrons of Detroit's three commercial casinos and Michigan's tribal-owned casinos will be able to place sports bets.
The move is expected to bring $19 million in revenue into the state, some of which will go into the School Aid Fund.

Beginning Wednesday (3/11), gamblers will be able to place bets on which teams will win specified sporting events and the score. Eventually, the ability to bet on specific athletes will be phased in.
Sports betting will only be available inside Michigan casinos at this time. The Michigan Gaming Control Board says the ability to place bets online will likely go live sometime next year.
