Even though there is only one Chick-fil-A restaurant in Michigan, I have made the hour long trip on several occasions to indulge in the "original chicken sandwich."

Now with all of this political hoopla surrounding the owner's views on gay marriage, people are being told to either support or boycott the national chain.  Is this really necessary?

Let me start by saying this... I don't like to get political or force my opinions on people.  But this recent attack on the chain is simply ludicrous.  My thoughts... WHO CARES!!!!

We all have eaten at McDonald's, Burger King, and so on without knowing where their owners' stand on certain issues. I am a Christian, and I love the food offered by Chick-fil-A, but I don't agree with the marriage views of the owner.  I have many gay and lesbian friends who also adore Chick-fil-A.  Will this recent uprising affect their eating habits?  It is totally up to them.

How do we know that the owners of other successful businesses don't have the same, or even worse opinions on the things we value most?  Did the food suddenly get worse upon his nonsensical announcement?  As cool as I thought is was that every Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays (including in malls), I do think he should have kept his 1900s-style opinions to himself.  So sure, he is an idiot.  But, I will continue to enjoy a Chick-fil-A sandwich every chance I get.

The point is, everyone has their own opinion about everything.  As a free country, there is nothing wrong with that.  And as an American, I respect his opinion, but I do disagree with it completely.  Check out John Stewart's report on this absolutely ridiculous story and share your thoughts below.
