Michigan Sbarro Employee Stabbed During Fight at Great Lakes Crossing

Okay, so apparently things got a little too heated at the Sbarro inside Great Lakes Crossing in Oakland County Sunday afternoon.

Auburn Hills Police Investigate Sbarro Stabbing

Police say two employees were fighting in the back room of the restaurant around 12:30 p.m. when one of them allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed the other employee, according to MLive. Because apparently arguing over whatever they were arguing about wasn't enough.

The victim is also 18 years old and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.

What Investigators Know About The Suspect

The suspect, an 18-year-old man from Pontiac, apparently decided the best course of action was to leave the mall before police arrived. That didn't exactly work out.

Police eventually tracked him down, arrested him and took him to the Oakland County Jail. Investigators say the incident appears to have stemmed from an ongoing disagreement between the two employees. Thankfully, nobody else was hurt during the incident.

No Charges Filed Yet in Oakland County Case

At this point, the suspect has not officially been charged. The case has been turned over to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office, which will determine what charges, if any, should be filed. And honestly, this seems like one of those situations where the workplace advice should be pretty simple:

If somebody at work gets on your nerves, take your lunch break. Go for a walk. Complain to your buddy. Maybe even send a strongly worded text to somebody who doesn't work there. But the whole pulling-a-knife-and-stabbing-your-coworker thing? That's probably taking the workplace disagreement a little too far.
