Saginaw School Moving to a 4-Day Week
Now I'm starting to wonder when we'll get four-day WORK weeks...
...because wouldn't THAT be nice?!
Saginaw Learn to Earn Academy has had a proposal approved by the Michigan Department of Education to move to a four-day school week this coming year.
The school is open to any Saginaw student, ages 12-26 in grades 7-12. Monday through Thursday will be used as traditional learning days, while Friday will be open for one-on-one tutoring, activities, suspensions, etc.
What do you think about this? It doesn't specify that this is to save the district money, considering that staff will likely still be working on Fridays. Almost sounds an approach to a balanced calendar. Do you support it?
