Saginaw ‘Pay It Forward’ Event Raises Money for Homeless Kids – The Good News
The event is put on by students from several different schools, from 3rd grade to high school.
It all began in 2008, when a Swan Valley traveling baseball team decided to adopt a family for the holidays. It's grown quite large, and the group, called 'Swan Valley Pay It Foward,' now holds an annual open house.
The group received its non-profit status earlier this year, and their open house was held over the weekend. It featured crafts, trees, etc. that were all donated to be sold. Admission was $5, and according to the event's Facebook page, it was their biggest year yet.
Proceeds from the open house will go towards a Christmas party for needy children in the Saginaw area.
