Saginaw Middle Schoolers had a ‘Hair Donation’ Assembly – The Good News
Middle school is a tough time, especially when it comes down to appearance, and the kids at Swan Valley Middle School wanted to help.
Ten middle schoolers and one high school student donated their hair during an assembly as part of their Viking Valor Character Building program. They donated to a non-profit called Children with Hair Loss.
Every student who donated their hair was treated to an in-school spa day from U-Spa. They were inspired to donate by one of their teachers, Heather Quellet, who donated her hair last fall.
The Viking Valor Character Building program at the school aims to teach students about different character traits, two of which are courage and sacrifice.
Bravo, ladies!!
