‘Rotten Sneaker Contest’ Coming August 20th At Bluebell Beach

Stinky sneakers, we are looking for you! The "Michigan Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker" contest is the ultimate test of just how bad sneakers can get when not taken care of properly. The contest is happening at Genesee County Parks' Bluebell Beach on Saturday, August 20th from 2-3pm. So, how do you judge them?The judges look at the condition of the sole, tongue, heel, toe, laces, eyelets, overall condition and most importantly ODOR. Bluebell Beach is the only location in the state of Michigan where the contest will be held.  Registration begins at 1pm in the bathhouse. The contest is for kids from 5-15 years of age and the cost is free. Adults must accompany children and the contest is limited to the first 25 registered children. The winner gets $200 in cash, the golden sneaker award, a merit certificate, and a basket of Odor-Eaters products.
