President Obama to Visit Michigan to Discuss Plan to Raise Minimum Wage
President Barack Obama plans to visit Michigan on Wednesday where he's expected to discuss plans to raise the national minimum wage.
The president has thrown his support behind a bill that would gradually raise the federal minimum wage from the current $7.25 per hour to $10.10 an hour by 2016. WNEM says the event will be held at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
There has been a lot of discussion on the minimum wage. The president spoke of it in his State of the Union speech. Fast food workers have gone on strike over it. What do you think about raising the minimum wage?
