Pete Davidson Blasts Students On Stage Over No-Cellphone Rule [VIDEO]
What is so difficult to understand about a no-cellphone policy? Comedian Pete Davidson went on a 90-second rant after students at the University of Central Florida violated the no-cellphone rule put in place during his stand-up routine. (The video is below.)
You go, Pete!
“That’s what’s f–ked up. You were the one filming. That’s right, we’re embarrassing. That’s why the world is going to end in 25 years because you’re all f–king retarded,” Davidson chided during Monday’s show. “I meant it that way, idiots. You should f–king grow up. It says no phones. … You’re just supposed to just like behave. I have to have my boy patrol you guys like you’re 5 years old? That’s f–king embarrassing.
Before we go on, I do take issue with his use of the R-word. It's offensive to some, but not the focus of this incident.
A representative for the university called the SNL star's performance disappointing and said his rant spoiled the event. I disagree. His monologue was simply a response to students who willfully violated his policy.
Comedian Dave Chappelle takes his policy against phones one step further, demanding that audience members put their phones in a locked Yondr pouch during his performances.
