Ortonville Cafe Served Meals to Police During Manhunt Yesterday [PHOTO]
Major kudos to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Ortonville for serving our law enforcement, just as they serve the people.
It's been a tough week for the citizens of Ortonville, after two people were shot in the head in an apartment complex. The suspect, Michael Quigley, was missing, and police launched a manhunt for him.
Yesterday, while the manhunt was in full swing, Tropical Smoothie Cafe posted on their Facebook that they would be serving the officers hot meals, as well as serving water and treats to their K9 companions. A very kind, simple gesture that went a long way!
The woman, who was shot in the back of the head, is believed to be his Quigley's estranged wife. The man she was visiting was shot in the eye, but BOTH are in stable condition. There was a three-year-old child in the apartment at the time, who was not injured and has been turned over to family. Brandon, Clarkston and Goodrich schools all canceled classes due to the manhunt.
Police found Quigley hiding out in an SUV in Ortonville. The owner held him at gunpoint until police arrived.
Kudos to the homeowner who held the suspect AND Tropical Smoothie Cafe!
