They hand out over 500 roses to women in the Spokane, Washington area.

Let me get this out of the way first, because we lived in Washington and it drives me nuts - it's pronounced Spo-KAN, not Spo-KANE. Now, on to the more important good news.

About eight years ago, Seth Stewart and one of his brothers decided to give out roses to their single friends on Valentine's Day. They started getting requests from all over the area, and a lot of them were for widows. They even got requests from husbands and boyfriends who were deployed through the military.

So, Seth hired a group of drivers who delivered 550 roses throughout the Spokane area yesterday. At one, he even locked his keys in his car. When the locksmith heard who he was, he unlocked his car for free and Seth went on with his deliveries.
