"It's Labor Day. They're working 24/7 all the time, so why not?"

Labor Day wasn't a day off for everybody, so the Flint Olive Garden decided to bring food to the Grand Blanc Police Department. Over 800 Olive Gardens across the country decided to do this; this is the 15th year that they've taken part in delivering meals to police officers, firefighters and other first responders.

"It's nice because they are out working too and they feel that they need to come and show their support for us. So on days like this it's, we're grateful," Officer Molly Machinski told ABC 12.

"Makes the job worth it. Lately with all the news going on about law enforcement we have a lot of outpour with people coming in, thanking us with cards, cupcakes, just on the road when we drive by they stop and say, 'thank you for your service', and it just makes it all worth it."
