If you're a NASCAR fan, you now have another reason to check out Back to the Bricks this year.

The 17th Annual Back to the Bricks festivities will see Michigan native and NASCAR driver Erik Jones participating in some of the events. Jones will join this year's official Grand Marshal Dr. Bobby Mukkamala for the Back to the Bricks ribbon-cutting events and Rolling Car Cruise.

Ribbon-cutting and Rolling Car Cruise - Wednesday, August 18th

On Wednesday, August 18th, 2021, Erik Jones will join Dr. Bobby Mukkamala for the ribbon-cutting and presentation at 4 pm. This event will take place at Factory One at 303 West Water Street in Flint. After the ribbon-cutting presentation, both Jones and Dr. Mukkamala will take to the streets and lead the way in their own cars for the Rolling Car Cruise.

The first stop for the Rolling Car Cruise will be Grand Blanc High School to join in and visit the "Roll On In" event with the Grand Blanc Chamber. After that, Dr. Mukkamala and Jones will lead the Rolling Cruise to the Official Mega Site at the corner of Hemphill Road and Saginaw Street to visit with sponsors, vendors, and view the automotive displays.

Back to the Bricks Flat Lot - Friday, August 20th

On August 20th, Jones will also make an appearance at Back to the Bricks Friday on the Flat Lot at the corner of Kearsley Street and Saginaw Street. Jones will be there from 5 pm until 6:30 pm to sign autographs for fans (wristband line up begins at 2 pm.)

Following the autograph signing, Jones will make his way to the stage to make a special announcement before the Cruise N Concert.

Michigan's own Erik Jones

Erik is a Byron, Michigan native and became the youngest NASCAR champion in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. His first-career NASCAR Cup Series victory happened in 2018 at Daytona International Speedway. To see more about Erik Jones, click here.
