The Detroit Red Wings completed their first round sweep of the Phoenix Coyotes last night with a 6-3 win on the road in Arizona. The win advances the Wings to the Western Conference Semi-Finals against an opponent still to be decided. This is just step one in the Red Wings chase for the Stanley Cup. The four game sweep in the best of seven series gives the Red Wings a little downtime to heal. Henrik Zetterburg missed the entire first round with a lower body injury and should be ready to go for round two. Other Red Wing players also need a little time to heal. Johann Frantzen took 24 stitches in his face in game 2, and sat out out last nights clinching victory.
