Mother of Holly Man Still in Hospital After Car Accident: Send Christmas Cards
20-year-old Jake Veeder was seriously burned in the accident on November 17th, which killed his friend, the driver.
Jake is still in the hospital, and is expected to be at least through Christmas.
According to his GoFundMe page, he suffered severe burns to both his feet, legs and buttocks, multiple fractures to his face, a neck fracture, broken left shoulder and left arm, a lacerated liver and a collapsed lung. He also has an injury to his carotid artery, which puts him at an increased risk for a stroke.
He recently had surgery, which is when his mom, Trisha, revealed that the doctors had to amputate.
Jake is the stepson of one of our former co-workers here at Townsquare Media. He and his wife have triplets, as well as other children, and can use all the help they can get. Jake is eligible for Medicaid, but nothing up until this point will be covered. If you can donate, please do.
His mom is requesting that people send Jake Christmas cards for his hospital room. If you would like to send something, here's the info from his mom:
Jake is going to be staying at the hospital through Christmas, and no idea how much longer after that. Only time will tell.
If you’d like to send him a Christmas card, or get well card, I would love to decorate his room with them.
They can be sent to
