‘Modern Family’ Cast Gets Stuck in an Elevator at Charity Event [VIDEO]

Leave it to the stars from ABC's 'Modern Family' to turn an event like getting stuck in an elevator, and turn it into funny business. Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen, and several other people had to be rescued after being trapped for about 50 minutes, making them late for a charity fundraiser they were attending in Kansas City.

Who wouldn't want to be trapped in an elevator with Claire, Mitchell, and Cameron? Well, maybe you wouldn't, if what Stonestreet tweeted is true:

As they were rescued, Jesse Tyler Ferguson quipped in a video he posted on Twitter, "I hope she was wearing underwear!" referring to Julie Bowen as she climbed the ladder to safety. He attached the video to this tweet:
