Midland Girl’s Lemonade Stand Taken…and Returned – The Good News
What started out as a case of stolen property ended up with a happy ending...and a lesson.
Midland resident and father Alex Hitsman set up his daughter Selena's lemonade stand on Tuesday night near Plymouth Park. She's been asking for a new bike and her parents wanted to teach her about money, so they helped her build a custom lemonade stand. She's been selling lemonade and lemon bars all summer.
Unfortunately, the lemonade stand was close to the curb and somebody assumed that it was put out with the trash, and they took it. Her parents assumed that this was the case, but also realized that it may have been stolen.
Thankfully, the stand was returned a few hours after the story made the news. Selena's dad said that this shows his daughter what a good place Midland can be.
