Michigan is known for growing corn, cherries and so much more. Farmer's markets give you the chance to buy fresh vegetables, fruits and other goods directly from the growers. Some of the most prominent are Detroit’s Eastern Market, the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids and the Flint Farmers Market among many others.

While many Americans further to our south can golf year-long spring signals the beginning of golf season in the mitten state. Golf courses begin their regular schedules to the delight of golfers. Michigan is also home to the Ally Challenge at Warwick Hills in Grand Blanc.

Michigan Wine Month is May of each year. This is where we celebrate the state’s nearly 150 wineries. There are several varieties to sooth any taste like Michigan-made Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Noir.

After a season of ice fishing, this spring Michigan residents are ready to get out into the plentiful rivers and lakes and do some fishing without an ice shanty.

Visiting Mackinac Island is awesome, but visiting the Grand Hotel is an experience in itself. You should check out the recently renovated pool that was constructed by Streeter Brothers of Burton in the middle of winter.

With a staggering 11,037 lakes throughout the state, Michigan offers many opportunity for boaters to enjoy some time on the water in several different settings.

With venues like Pine Knob, Meadowbrook and Soaring Eagle, we are all looking forward to the spring and summer concert season.

There are several ice cream products made right here in Michigan including Country Dairy, home of the happiest cows in the state. Who can't wait to try to beat an ice cream cone as it tries to melt on a warm spring, Michigan day?
