Postal employee Newman (Wayne Knight) could learn a thing or two from Deborah Ford, the Detroit woman who retired from the US Post Office after 44 years, and never took a sick day.

Newman never really bought into that whole rain, sleet or snow thing.

Ford was honored with a luncheon where coworkers gushed about her dedication. Chuck Howe, who supervises postal employees in Detroit, gave her a proclamation “enabling you to retire with a sick-leave balance of 4,508 hours.”

Ford said she was never sick, and never needed a sick day, and added “I have no secrets. But a positive attitude helps.”
