A 17-year-old Michigan girl used her birthday to give back to healthcare workers on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic. Lily Powers knew that she couldn't celebrate her birthday with a party, so she decided to provide lunch for staff members at Beaumont Hospital in Troy.

“It feels really good to help someone, and especially since it's really hard for everyone right now and the situation's really tough,” Lily told WDIV.

Powers also donated six new iPads to Ascension Hospital so COVID-19 patients can communicate with family members who aren't able to visit in person.
