Michigan Road Will Be Paved with 10,000 Books
One Ann Arbor street will be covered with 10,000 illuminated books this month. You can see this upcoming art display on Liberty Street between State and Maynard streets in Ann Arbor.
The art installation titled "Literature vs Traffic" is a display by Spain-based artist collective Luzinterruptus. The University of Michigan Institute for Humanities invited Luzinterruptus to Ann Arbor to create the Literature vs Traffic Display.
According to NBC25, the entire installation process will take eight days. Students and volunteers will work with the artists to install LED lights in the 10,000 books. The display is planned for October 23rd from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
