Michigan License Plate Design Ranks Near Bottom in National Poll
Michigan's standard license plate has very little appeal, according to a poll conducted by CarInsurance.com which asked visitors to vote for their favorite - and least favorite - plate designs. Our Pure Michigan white plate ranked at number 50 out of 51 in the survey, which included Washington DC.
Only Delaware's design was deemed lower, with a plate that ironically reads, "The First State."
Wyoming takes top honors, followed by Utah, Alabama, Arizona, and Oregon.
We think it's just a bit unfair that only our plain white Pure Michigan plate was included, as Michigan's Mackinac Bridge plate bears a much more appealing design!
